PE news

Year 9 rounders team won against Prendergast Hilly Fields School.

The score was 11 and half rounders to 8 and half rounders.

DANCE news

Sydenham Dance Company have been selected along with 7 other schools in London to perform alongside The English National Ballet in the Royal Naval College in Greenwich on Friday 6th July at 2 pm.


Olympic Games

Two of our bands, Metropolitan and The London Touch, have successfully auditioned to take part in Lewisham Live, a festival taking place on Blackheath to mark the start of the Olympic Games.  This free festival takes place in a big tent and the bands will be performing from about 6:30pm

Sydenham Arts festival

Two of our Year 10 bands, USB and New Amsterdam, have successfully auditioned to take part in the Sydenham Arts Festival and are performing at the Tudor Livesey Hall from 8:00pm.  Tickets £5/£3.  There is an audience vote at the end of the concert and the winning band wins time in a professional recording studio. http://www.sydenhamartsfestival.co.uk/event_types/music/

Journalism Activity Day

On Wednesday 11th July a group of Year 9 students will be attending an all day enrichment activity in the Science Centre with freelance journalist Jerome Monahan.

Youth Philanthropy Initiative

All Year 9's have now completed their research and visits to their chosen charities. The winners from each class will present their project to try and win £3.000 (donated by YPI) on Tuesday 10th July during periods 1 and 2.

Lewisham Book Quiz

Group of Year 7 and 8 students have been chosen to represent Sydenham in the Lewisham Book Quiz on Tuesday 10th July from 12pm. One of our teams won this event last year.

MEND PROGRAMME - Learn how to choose the right foods, eat healthily,
become more active and have fun!

Sage Educational Trust is running a 10-week MEND programmes for families in Lewisham.
The programmes are FREE and open to all children in Lewisham aged 5-7, 8-12 and 13-16.
