Well done to Acelya Toprak of 9S for coming 3rd in the Junior Sportswoman of the year category at the Lewisham Sports Award.

On Thursday 8th March 2012, all Year 10 students will be participating in the Change Makers Campaign Showcase. The Change Makers Campaign showcase will be an off timetable event where students will be sharing the different campaigns that they have been working on this term that are intended to make a difference to local and global communities. The 10 classes have chosen to campaign about a variety of issues they believe need improving in the local and global community such as homelessness, domestic violence and human trafficking. The showcase will run in the main school hall during the afternoon. Our local MP, Jim Dowd and the press will be attending the event so that the student’s campaign messages can be taken forward into the wider community. This campaigning project and the follow up coursework account for 60% of their Citizenship GCSE grade.
